Shin Matcha Whisk (Shin Chasen)

The 64-prong shin chasen is a traditional Japanese matcha whisk crafted from a single piece of bamboo. With fewer, sturdier tines than standard whisks, it is ideal for preparing koicha (thick tea) in formal tea ceremonies. Available in two colors: 

Golden Bamboo
Light and warm-toned, golden bamboo offers natural elegance and is favored for its smooth finish and versatility.

Purple Bamboo
Darker and denser, purple bamboo is prized for its rich color and better durability. It's often used in premium, traditional crafts. Slightly more expensive. 

Note: Soak the whisk in hot water before use to soften the bristles. We recommend using a whisk holder to help it keep its shape and dry properly.
